Creative Journal Expressive Arts Institute™

My TreasuresI am the Master Lead Instructor for the Creative Journal Expressive Arts Institute, a method originated and pioneered by Lucia Capacchione Ph.D., A.T.R., R.E.A.T. I have been bringing creative ideas and programs to those who have trained in the CJEAI methods since 2001 and the general public. In the past 15 years I have taught programs from my studio and to groups in Ireland, England, Mexico and many places in the US. I worked along with Dr. Marsha Nelson to create adventures worldwide introducing these methods to help:

1. Deal with feelings in a safe, healthy, and productive way
2. Uncover hidden artistic abilities
3. Discover the playful spirit so essential to the creative process
4. Release old emotions stored in parts of the body
5. Change negative attitudes about ourselves
6. Heal our relationships with others
while processing their life experiences through expression

I believe in the healing power of creating art and journaling with both your dominant and your non-dominant hand. Incorporating my expert art experience with a variety of methods help us get in touch with our bodies and our emotions in non-verbal ways. I lead groups to explore a variety of media (clay, paint, collage, etc.) as they reflect on their creations by answering questions to discover the healing powers within.

Each year I offer 2 “Art as Therapy®” weekend retreats, one in July and one in Dec in which we concentrate on a theme such as: Legacy, Care for the caregiver, Awaken the Artist, Story of my life, Child’s Play, etc. I have been bringing creative ideas and programs to those who have trained in the CJEAI and the general public since 2001. I work with Dr. Marsha Nelson (Executive Director) of the non-profit Project-Inight.net that houses our CJEAIto introducing these methods worldwide.

I am also certified in facilitating workshops in Visioning® for life and career planning and specialize in working with Grief and Legacy to help you use art to express those words hard to speak and let you process your life experiences.
During the last 22 years, I worked with Dr. Lucia Cappachione, author of 24 books on journaling with your art to create programs combining her wonderful methods with my expertise.
